Protein Haus

The concept behind Protein Haus (healthy eating, knowing exactly what your food contains) is one that I fully support – and one that I believe needs to be replicated more in our society. It’s not surprising that its location is just beneath Third Space (previously Reebok Gym), and in Canary Wharf – not just because I find that dieting and healthy eating is much more an “upper class” concern, but also because it’s darn pricey.

My main issue with Protein Haus is that the food is absolutely bland – and reinforces the idea that healthy and tasty are at two polar opposites on the scale. No wonder all my relatives back home think all I eat is boiled chicken (yes, I am insinuating I am fit).

Considering the lack of taste then, I find the food to be incredibly overpriced. Sure, some things, like the beets crisps (2.5£), are nice and probably much more complicated to do at home, but the Egg whites, chicken and broccoli with rice box (4.5£) is literally nothing more than some boiled chicken, steamed broccoli and some added salt on it.

Despite my bitching – if you don’t mind the price and are looking for a healthy meal, Protein Haus is probably the thing to go for.
